One-Bowl Banana Bread

This is the loaf to make when your bananas are more brown than yellow.

Everything mixes in one bowl with a fork, so cleanup is minimal.
Why This Recipe Works
Sour cream keeps it moist for days.
Add walnuts or chocolate chips, or keep it plain.
Success Tips
Tent with foil halfway through if the top browns too quickly.
Cool completely before slicing for clean cuts.

Ingredients
Method
- Heat oven to 350°F (177°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash bananas in a large bowl; whisk in butter, sugar, eggs and sour cream.
- Sprinkle flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon over the top and fold until just combined.
- Pour into the pan and bake 55–65 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool 15 minutes in the pan, then turn out onto a rack.
Clear instructions, and weighing the flour made a big difference.
My family asked for a second batch the next day.
Can I halve this recipe?
Added a pinch more salt and loved it.
This is my new go-to recipe.
